Tommy Gainey Becomes First 'Big Break' Alumnus to Record Victory on PGA TOUR
ORLANDO, Fla., Oct. 21 – Tommy Gainey today became the first alumnus from Golf Channel’s ‘Big Break’ reality competition series to win on the PGA TOUR, following his record-breaking final round of 10-under-par 60 at The McGladrey Classic. Gainey erased a seven-stroke deficit today on the Seaside course, narrowly missing a shot at becoming the sixth player in PGA TOUR history to record a 59 in tournament competition and captured his first PGA TOUR win by one shot over David Toms.Gainey, 37 and nicknamed “Two Gloves” for wearing gloves on both hands, first gained notoriety with golf fans as a two-time participant on Golf Channel’s Big Break series - Big Break IV: USA vs. Europe – in 2005 and later winning Big Break VII: Reunion in 2006.
Gainey also became the first Big Break alumnus to earn full status on the PGA TOUR card in 2008 when he advanced through 2007 PGA TOUR Q-School.

Grand Golf Resorts of Florida to Host Two Legends Tour Events
Across Central Florida – September 20, 2012 – The newly formed Grand Golf Resorts of Florida,
a Salamander Collection, will host two Legends Tour golf tournaments

Peter Hanson wins European Tour’s KLM Open
Hanson and Pablo Larrazabal each had and shared the lead on several occasions in the final round at Hilversumsche Golf Club in The Netherlands, but Hanson emerged victorious for his fifth career European Tour title.
He is the third professional coached by Gary Gilchrist to win this year, joining Yani Tseng and Shanshan Feng.

Golf Gamebook: USA vs. Europe Golf Challenge
Inspired by the legendary golf tournament the Ryder Cup, the GameBook Cup launches as the first transatlantic golf challenge of its kind ever. Zach Johnson Reflects on his Recent Win
Another highlight this year has been joining GolfLogix. On the PGA Tour we are fortunate to have caddies and detailed yardage books for every course. You have a tool that's just as good, with aerial flyovers, club tracking, precise distances to the pin or other key points on a hole and the ability to write digital yardage book notes. I've really enjoyed using these tools within the coolest app in golf.
In addition to the app itself, getting to know the GolfLogix leadership and interacting with the community has been outstanding. The team in Scottsdale is smart and innovative, creating incredible technology that we all enjoy to play better golf.
